Simraungarh is major part of Bara district. It is historical place in Nepal. Simraungarh is famous for agriculture product in Nepal. The people grow wheat, corn, green vegetables (cauliflower, tomato, banana (raw), beetroot, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, brinjal, cabbage, carrot, cauliflower, chilli (green), chilli (dry red), Arbi coriander leaves, cucumber, potato and so on). Bara district is famous for the Gadhimai Temple, particularly as every five years it celebrates the Gadhimai Mela. This festival has historically been celebrated every 5 years by sacrificing animals. In the future animal sacrifice will no longer occur, as temple authorities have decided to convert the festival into a "momentous celebration of life.

The Seti River is an important tributary of the Karnali system that drains western Nepal.The Seti originates from the snow fields and glaciers around the twin peaks of Api and Nampa in the south facing slopes of the main Himalayas. The area is near the trijunction of the borders of Nepal, India (Kumaon, Uttarakhand), and China (Tibet). The river first flows in a south-easterly direction, then turns and flows in a south-westerly and finally south-easterly again before joining the Karnali or Ghagra River. It has cut a spectacular gorge across the Mahabharat Range and appears to be lost amongst caves and tunnels for a short distance.

Two teams of the Indian Army have arrived in Kathmandu to scale the Mt Everest. They will depart from Kathmandu to Jiri on April 3 and 4, before trekking to the Everest region. The ICC today announced details of the umpire and match referee appointments for the women’s and men’s finals of the ICC World Twenty20 India 2016, which will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday. Andy Pycroft of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees will lead the playing control team for the women’s final between three-time defending champion Australia and the West Indies which gets underway at 14h30 while Ranjan Madugalle, also of the elite panel, will referee the men’s final between England and the West Indies, which starts at 19h00.

The on-field umpires for the women’s final will be Aleem Dar and Richard Illingworth of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Umpires with Nigel Llong, also from the elite panel, as third umpire and S Ravi of the elite panel as fourth umpire. The men’s final will be umpired by Kumar Dharmasena and Rod Tucker, with Marais Erasmus, also from the elite panel, as third umpire and Bruce Oxenford from the elite panel as fourth umpire.

Pratyusha Banerjee, best known for her role as ‘Anandi’ in the popular serial Balika Vadhu, allegedly committed suicide on Friday. While the police have registered an “accidental death report” for now, sources said Banerjee, 25, is suspected to have hanged herself at her Goregaon residence. She was rushed to the Kokilaben Hospital, where she was declared dead. The police were informed by the hospital authorities.

DCP Dhananjay Kulkarni said Banerjee had “prima facie committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan” at about 5 pm on Friday. “She was taken to Kokilaben Hospital by her friend where she was declared dead… Investigation is on,” he said, adding that the cause of the death would be confirmed only after performing a post-mortem. Dr Ram Narain, director of Kokilaben Hospital, confirmed the death.

As a result of farming, deforestation, and other development, the giant panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived.

The Budhi Gandaki Hydroelectric Project Development Committee has identified the extent of the area that will be inundated by the reservoir of the planned 1,200 MW project and the place where the people living there will be relocated. The project is expected to displace 45,000 people. The Survey Office and Land Revenue Offices in Dhading and Gorkha have been working to mark the places that will be affected by the power plant as per the directive of the Ministry of Land Reform and Management. Budhi Gandaki Hydro power Project is a storage type project located in Central/ western development region on the Budhi Gandaki river of Nepal. This project was identified during the Gandaki Basin Study in late 70's. In 1984, a prefeasibility study of the project was prepared. The ongoing feasibility study of the project has recommended 1200 MW capacity plant with FSL 540 masl. Location and Access: The project lies in Gorkha and Dhading districts in Western/ Central Development region of Nepal. The project site is accessible through Benighat (At about a distance of 80 km from Kathmandu) on Prithvi Highway (Kathmandu - Pokhara). From Benighat, a motorable composite bridge can be used to cross the Trishuli River and access the Dam and Powerhouse site both of which are at a distance of about 1.5 km from the road head.
